@tiochaota Oh okay, who the hell cares if he can beat us? We don’t play tennis for a living. He can still beat a lot of people that’s not the point.

  • By pelrrow, July 25, 2010 @ 7:04 pm

the worst and ugliest forehand in the tour for sure!!

  • By mrbobevans, July 25, 2010 @ 7:41 pm

I like his backhand, but that is one of the ugliest forehands I have ever seen.

  • By ashokdheenan, July 25, 2010 @ 7:59 pm

thers nothing wrong with it fundamentally its just the grip. but it his style and it obviously works. you dont hav to use a semi or full western. it just helps in the modern game to generate top spin, but he can still generate a fair amount.

    Is this a windshield wiper?

  • By jtag8907, July 25, 2010 @ 9:37 pm

@theocho3 His backhand is good, but not the best. Id say Fed is right up there if not better.

  • By matt1451, July 25, 2010 @ 10:13 pm

I disagree with most people here. I think his forehand is very pretty to watch, it’s just that he has the son of god for a backhand.

  • By 3lv3r4ng3rftw, July 25, 2010 @ 10:33 pm

hunk :s he doesnt put his thumb around that racket what a weird forehand that is xd

  • By vst250, July 25, 2010 @ 11:08 pm

    Forehand looks terrible..

  • By ppsecurito, July 25, 2010 @ 11:40 pm

@DirtyPingouin he changed his forehand, watch the QF in montecarlo vs federer, and compere it now.

  • By tiochaota, July 26, 2010 @ 12:27 am

@LJ080805 i dont think he needs one… he would destroy us with that “weird” forehand.

  • By AceGuitarR7, July 26, 2010 @ 12:37 am

@TheJwaffle hahaha, hes forehand looks bizzare… though its effective. i wouldnt say it looks nice though

  • By hattrickster33, July 26, 2010 @ 1:28 am

@burtoncaly He probably took it recreationally, which proves that he wasn’t even cheating. It gave him no advantage. By the way, if you want to hear about garbage, look at the French crowds. They’re more of a shame to France than any player could ever be.

  • By hattrickster33, July 26, 2010 @ 1:58 am

@doetim Yea and I think he should be commended for not getting addicted. Most people say they’re just going to “try” it and then they end up getting hooked.

  • By TheJwaffle, July 26, 2010 @ 2:16 am

He’s got beautiful strokes on both sides

  • By doetim, July 26, 2010 @ 2:17 am

@burtoncaly The miniscule amount of cocaine found in his system clearly proved that he’s not a regular user so that’s why he was found not guilty and besides cocaine is not a performance-enhancing drug so you need to get over it.

  • By burtoncaly, July 26, 2010 @ 3:13 am

@doetim I dislike Gasquet and Monfils they are true garbage,
I prefer by far Tsonga, Gilles Simon or Paul Henri mathieu, Sebastien Grosjean was also a goof player…
” what does that make tsonga and monfils Less than garbage ?”
they don’t cheat like Gasquet, in France nobody like him, he did a scandal here, with his doping, he was a positive control at cocaine, moreover, he is stupid why he took this drug, because it’s no a drug for sportsman,
he is such shame for France.

  • By doetim, July 26, 2010 @ 3:29 am

@raphael1245 If he beat tsonga and monfils in matches where he was playing like garbage then what does that make tsonga nd monfils? Less than garbage?

  • By desvirgalamparas, July 26, 2010 @ 3:51 am

por lo menos acelera la pelota y cierra bn la raqueta aunque pierde mucho tiempo en esa fea preparacion

  • By stav3455, July 26, 2010 @ 4:25 am

How can such a magnificent backhand be paired with this hideous forehand??
Looks like hes chopping wood there lol

  • By eggrolleggroll, July 26, 2010 @ 4:37 am

@alaindelon65 Ah thank goodness, it looks so painfulDX

  • By cys12141, July 26, 2010 @ 5:28 am

he has a funny forehand. He places his thumb on the top bevel. And apparently he grips the racquet with the eastern grip but his swing resembles the modern western swing more.

  • By hophip3123, July 26, 2010 @ 6:11 am

That’s like way eastern grip. It’s impossible to stay consistent like that in the pro’s.

  • By Raindogs111, July 26, 2010 @ 6:45 am

Million dollar backhand, pocket change forehand.
